      Zango Ilorin, in Kwara state Nigeria is a popularly known area in the states province, it is largely occupied by Hausa immigrants, Zango actually means "refuges" in hausa so hence this settlement was given the name Zango, this is regarded as the hausa peoples  place of settlement in ilorin because they are more in number than the original yorubas of kwara state.They are known for their craftsmanship and high level of business orientation in this area, true hard work can be noticed as the general are is filled with people of different trade. the popular Zango market is located here, you can get most items, ranging from foodstuffs, furniture, household equipments, vegetables, and even textiles. the hausa people are a very lucrative set of people in Nigeria, they do even scavenger jobs of gathering waste materials like metals, amd semi-metal parts and compiling them for export to big steel factories for processing and re-production. Market women can be seen in this area and they all co-exist peacefully in this big majo market of sango located in the capital of kwara state. Many of the citizens of ilorin come here to purchase textile material in bulk, either for personal use, or for re-sale purposes. A Lot of the inhabitants of this area are middle aged and old aged citizens, the environment is mostly crowded during the day, because it is a very busy business area. Noise pollution is a major attribute to this environment and even air pollution from roadside local firewood burners and meat sellers. The overall population of this area is an estimated 6000+ inhabitants. beggars are mostly found in this area, some of them disabled and sitting on the floor requesting for alms.
